The Misfits

The bad girls on the show, and rivals of Jem and the Holograms. They started off as being signed to Starlight Music by Eric Raymond, when he still owned half of the company. He very quickly signed them once Jerrica's father Emmett, former owner of the company, died, because Emmett would never have approved of The Misfits. The Misfits have a nasty sound and lyrics, very different from Jem and the Holograms. And ever since Jem and the Holograms came around and beat them in the Battle of the Bands, they've been determined to get revenge, convinced that Jem and the Holograms is the only thing keeping them from reaching number one. Infact their paths cross quite often being in the music business, and the Misfits try to make sure it's as unpleasant for the Holograms as possible.

Pizzazz (Phyllis Gabor)

She is the lead singer of The Misfits, and also occasionally plays guitar. Although her real name is Phyllis Gabor, no one is allowed to call her that. She has a rich father and has always gotten anything she wanted, and still is. Now she is determined to be famous aswell.

She is arrogant, selfish, rude, loud, conceit and lazy. She never appears to be in a good mood, unless it's at someone else's expense. In her mind she is the greatest thing the world has known, and that is often how she portrays herself in the Misfits music videos, as a queen or growing into a giant, or as very physically strong. She loves to be the center of attention. A lot of people are intimidated by her personality, even men.

She doesn't like to work, but making music with the Misfits isn't something she considers real work. However the Misfits isn't about friendship either, because that's something Pizzazz knows nothing about. In her mind the Misfits is all about her. She is not only the lead singer, but the actual leader of the girls. And she treats the other Misfits as her assistants. She doesn't like taking orders from anyone. But has no trouble giving them, as she considers herself the brain of the Misfits.

When Pizzazz was very little, she was abandoned by her mother. According to her father, she has been uncontrollable and resented the world ever since. Her father has raised Pizzazz on his own. She doesn't have a great relation with her father, since the only thing he is interested in is money and business deals. He has spoiled her all her life with money, and that's practically all she bothers to ask him for anymore, even though she would love to get more attention. He is however one of the few people she listens to, atleast slightly when he raises his voice. He is after all the one who has the money.

She has trusted Eric with her career, but doesn't really have very high regards for him. He is practically an employee. She thinks Techrat is a creep, but will take advantage of his gadgets to disturb the Holograms, and often breaks them.

She can't stand Jem and Jerrica, who came in and stole the Misfits' spot as the number one new band. She sometimes seems to spend more time on ruining Jem and the Holograms' careers rather than working on her own, and has practically developed a talent for creating mischief for them. She seems to have no problem stealing, breaking, or sabotaging things. Although she wouldn't hurt anyone badly psysically, she isn't a very good judge at what consequences her actions get, and she doesn't learn from mistakes.

She even keeps trying to hit on Rio to make Jem/Jerrica jealous, with no success on actually winning him over. Infact she doesn't have alot of success flirting with men. Riot is the first man she has truly fallen for though, and since he prefers Jem, that's just another reason for Pizzazz to dislike Jem. She also hates Kimber, since Kimber won over her old friend Sean, and later even befriended her father.

Infact Pizzazz doesn't get along with people at all, unless they partner up with her in makin' mischief, like Clash. Pizzazz doesn't care about charity and helping people in need. She will not be nice unless she earns something on it. She loves having fans though, and writing autographs, when she is in the mood to feed her ego. Otherwise she doesn't care about them at all. If someone is a fan of Jem though, she doesn't like that person. She isn't very fond of nor nice to animals either. Infact Pizzazz hates everything!

Trivia:
Pizzazz once slapped Lin-Z, and the Misfits weren't allowed back on Lin-Z' show until the episode "Broadway Magic".

Until the "Starbright" trilogy, Pizzazz had never told the other Misfits that her father was rich.

Pizzazz and Sean knew each other from long before Sean met Kimber.

Pizzazz has some racing skills. Pizzazz' racing car in the Indy 500 had the number 007.

Pizzazz has no conscience according to herself.

The guarddogs at Gabor mansion do not respond to Pizzazz.

According to Kimber, Pizzazz is a rich spoiled brat. And Eric thinks Pizzazz is an abnoxious little brat.

Pizzazz was born with that haircolor. Apparently Pizzazz doesn't do her own hairstyling though, as Eric once offered to pay for her next hairstyling.

Roxy (Roxanne Pelligrini)

She plays guitar in the Misfits but isn't the most musically creative of the Misfits. She is pretty streetwise, and is apparently the cruelest of the Misfits, who takes things a step further. She has been poor most of her life, and never learned to read. She ran away from her home in Philadelphia when she was 13 years old, and took a number of minor jobs like waitressing, before joining the Misfits. She is determined to be a star to show everyone she's made it.

Trivia:
According to the Jem bible, she was meant to play drums in the Misfits, and so she does briefly, probably by a blooper, in the episode "Danse Time".

According to Christy, Roxy comes from an Italian-American background, though probably with a few other things thrown in, given the American melting-pot.

Trivia:
She has once made friends with Ashley, aswell as Kimber whom she once formed a duo with and released an album, and once even considered joining the Holograms.

Jetta (Sheila Burns)

The saxophone player in the Misfits. She comes from a lower class family in England in the working class town of Hull. Being a pathological liar, she claims her family is aristocrats and that she is close friends of the royalties of England aswell as several celebrities. She first played with the group the Tinkerbillies, who came to the USA but were so obnoxious that they got kicked out of the country by the immigration department. She later met the Misfits while performing at a club in LA, when the Misfits were looking for a new member, although Roxy never approved of her. Pizzazz used her father's money and influence to get a resident card for Jetta.

Trivia:
According to the Jem bible, "tinkerbilly" is a derogatory slang word for a pseudo-rock'n'roller, someone pretending to be something he isn't.
