Trivia:
Venice Beach is in Los Angeles, which is another thing that shows that Jem and the Holograms
live in LA.
Kimber keeps a diary. Here she sometimes writes down thoughts that turn into songs.
Jetta suggests that Roxy reads what Kimber says about her in Kimber's diary, but Roxy says
she wouldn't waste her time. In a later episode "Roxy Rumbles" we find out the reason for this, Roxy
can't read. On the other hand, later in this episode she has been able to pick out certain
pages of Kimber's diary with "dirt".
According to Kimber's diary, Roxy isn't dumb, but ignorant. Pizzazz is a rich spoiled brat.
Shana can be ridiculously insecure about her talent. Kimber thinks Aja is cold and sometimes wonders
if she has any feelings at all. Sometimes Kimber wishes Jem was her sister instead of Jerrica.
Sean thinks Kimber is a child in spirit but her work is quite mature.
Sean has nothing but the highest regards for Kimber, he respects her as a person and an artist.
He doesn't think Pizzazz is a real woman and wouldn't sing a song that she wrote.
There's an issue of the magazine Cool Trash that says "Jemstar chilled! Exclusive! Kimber loves
Sean! 'I could care less' he says!".
We get to hear Sean's band play a little music, but no singing.
Kimber gets her own new identity when she asks Synergy to change her into someone hard and mean,
someone who can never be hurt.
Synergy reveals that Emmett Benton told her many things about Kimber, he hoped she'd be strong,
she was a born charmer, from the beginning she enchanted everyone even butterflies, she was
sensitive and suffered when she saw pain, but the knocks and scrapes of childhood did
not stop her, she was creative, she was drawn to music and writing, she was often frustrated
but kept at it. When she was eleven she had her first big test, she had written a song for the
school talent show, but some unruly boys made fun of her as she began her sensitive ballad,
she had been proud of her song, but now she was humiliated, backstage her father gave her a
peptalk, she went back out there and the audience loved her, at that moment her father knew
she could survive in the music business, he was very proud. What he said according to Kimber
was "be true to yourself, believe in your song, and give the whole audience a chance".
Kimber can write a song in only one day, as also seen in "Father's Day".
The song "She Makes An Impression" by Jem and the Holograms is re-used. Previously appeared in the
episode "The Music Awards Part 1".
This episode refers to an earlier episode, The World Hunger Shindig, when it comes to Kimber and
her relation to Sean.
