Jem Characters

Employees

Starlight Music

Starlight Music is a large company. While we rarely see other people than Jerrica, Rio and the Holograms, who all do their part for the company, we do get to meet some of the employees. Then of course there are the guards, which I've placed on the page Security.

Joanie Stuart

"Your father would be proud of you Jerrica".

This 50-something woman is originally from Scotland and she is the comptroller of Starlight Music's financial affairs. She has been working there ever since Emmett Benton's owned the company, and is now the right hand of Jerrica at the record company, and keeps the company running when Jerrica isn't there.

This character was invented by Christy Marx, but appears in two episodes written by other writers.

She was originally going to have grey hair.

Colin Summers

A receptionist, in his early 20's, who seems to speak with an English accent, works at one of the top floors. He doesn't seem to have any problem revealing to strangers where Jem and the Holograms are currently located.

Episodes:
KJEM

An employee at the old Starlight Music, who worked with Emmett Benton, in his last years.

This character strongly resembles another character design, of a woman in the crew, Carrie, from the Starbright trilogy.

Starlight Recording Studio

Starlight Recording Studio is a separately building from Starlight Music, but apparently this is where Jem and the Holograms record their songs, or atleast some times.

One of the studio men at the Starlight Recording Studio.

Episodes:
In Search Of The Stolen Album

"Morning ladies, ready to rock 'n' roll?".

One of the studio men at the Starlight Recording Studio. He's patient with all of Jem and the Holograms' retakes.

In Search Of The Stolen Album

Starlight Mansion

At Starlight Mansion, even with the Starlight Foundation, there's not a whole lot of people working. This doesn't seem to have changed from Starlight House. It seems like a big job to cook for 18 people every day, and clean that big mansion, but perhaps there's more people we don't get to see, and everyone who lives there seems well raised to do their part.

Mrs. Bailey

Has been around since Jerrica and Kimber were little, as the housekeeper of Starlight House, and is now the housekeeper of Starlight Mansion and takes care of the Starlight Girls and cooks food for them.

We don't really know if she lives at Starlight Mansion permanently, but she probably has a room there.

Misfits Music / Stingers Sound

Until the Stingers arrive at Misfits Music, Eric's secretary is the only employee we get to see. In the last episode we do get to see some of the studio people and backup musicians who record with Pizzazz.

"I wouldn't know, Mr. Raymond hired me last week".

A vain bimbo who worked as a secretary at Starlight Music while Eric ran it. But she rather paints her finger nails than works. She left along with Eric Raymond, when he lost his part of Starlight Music. As soon as Misfits Music was started, she became the secretary there.

The second time she appears, she still has the same hair color, but a completely different look.

One of the people of the management of Stingers Sound. She was in contact with TV about creating a Stingers saturday morning TV show. But when she reveals their response to Riot, that the network wants his character to be more likeable, he turns down the whole deal. She is concerned the network will go bankrupt.

Flash Recording Studio

The Flash Recording studio, is partly owned by Harvey Gabor. We also get to meet another employee that I've sorted into the page Eric's thugs.

One of the recording engineers, who unwillingly gets to be Pizzazz' dance puppet when she records the song "There Ain't Nobody Better".

Episodes:
In Search Of The Stolen Album

C.B.

One of the recording engineers. Pizzazz seems to find him annoying. He's the guy who is responsible for the fact that the volume of the song "There Ain't Nobody Better" is increased in the beginning. Pizzazz calls him "Buster".

Episodes:
In Search Of The Stolen Album

"Good day miss Pizzazz".

A cleaner at the studio, who seems to be an aquaintance of Pizzazz.

Episodes:
In Search Of The Stolen Album

Probably one of the recording engineers, who seems pretty nice. Stormer left him a note to Kimber, when she went back to the Misfits, and he kindly delivered it to Kimber.

The Bands Break Up

Gabor Mansion

Of course the gigantic Gabor Mansion, has alot of employees. Although only Pizzazz and Harvey officially live there, they have service people and atleast one guard.

Matilda

"We don't want any bums here!".

One of the maids of Pizzazz, with the same kind of temper as Pizzazz. She calls Eric a bum, and refuses to let him in at first.

Doesn't she look like the mean version of Mrs. Bailey?

Episodes:
In Search Of The Stolen Album

"Yes miss Gabor".

The gate guard at the Gabor Mansion. He is confused when Pizzazz first drives in, and moments later Pizzazz (Jem disguised) wants in again.

This character very much resembles a guard that works at the gate for the World Studios in the episode "Starbright Part One: Falling Star", and also the guard at the statue of liberty in the episode "Broadway Magic". Probably the same model design. Also appears at a concert in a superstars clip.

Episodes:
The Jem Jam Part 1

A butler who opens the door at the Gabor mansion.
